Facing Opposition

REFLECTION QUESTIONS

1. Where have you faced opposition when seeking to do the work of God? How can you grow in expecting that opposition without becoming cynical or fearful?

2. The enemy often uses doubt to undermine God’s work in us. What specific lies or questions have you recently been tempted to believe about God, yourself, or what He’s called you to do? What would it look like to actively replace those lies with truth?

3. Nehemiah and the people responded to opposition first by going to God in prayer. What is your natural first reaction when you face opposition or frustration? How can you intentionally build a habit of turning to God before reacting?

4. The people trusted God and kept building with faithfulness. What is one area of obedience or “work” God has called you to that has become difficult because of opposition? What would persevering in faithfulness look like for you this week in that specific area?
