1. What is the difference between ‘working for your salvation’ and ‘working out your salvation’? What can you do to keep the proper mindset (working out instead of for) in your daily life?

2. What are you most tempted to grumble and complain about? How does grumbling and complaining damage your witness?

3. Read 1 Corinthians 15:10, Colossians 1:29, and Philippians 2:13. What does it look like for God and His grace to empower your work? Have you experienced this in your own life?

4. How has FirstSF done a good job of shining like lights in our city? In what ways could we improve?

5. The product of working out your salvation is joy in all seasons of life. Have you seen this in your own life? How could you work to cultivate joy in the midst of life’s difficult seasons?
