1. Do you feel like Jesus’ ascension often gets overlooked when we speak about the core doctrines of our faith? Why is the ascension of Jesus so important?


2. How is Jesus’ reign as king different from the authority He has always held as God the Son? How does Jesus reigning as king impact the way you view the world? How can you draw hope and peace from His kingship?


3. Do you ever wish that Jesus still lived on earth? Why is it better that He has ascended to heaven? Do you feel His presence in your life? How is the sending of the Spirit connected to this?


4. Read Hebrews 4:14-16 and 7:24-25. What do these passages teach us about Jesus’ role as our priestly mediator? How should we live in light of Jesus being our priestly mediator?
